In the midsts of ‘lockdown’ our projects continue apace, including works to refurbish a penthouse apartment in Chelsea, the near-completion of a large, new-build townhouse in Notting Hill, a landscaping project in Wimbledon, and the construction of a new, mews-style house in Earl’s Court.
We have also recently completed two, large, townhouse refurbishment projects in Kensington, and another new-build mews house in Bayswater. Another project, for the partial redevelopment of the Tavener Yard site in West Hampstead, has been recently submitted for Planning Approval. This six-storey development includes the provision of 19 apartments and maisonettes atop approximately 570m² of commercial space.
We are also working with the Durrell Trust on conservation projects in Madagascar and Mauritius, supporting their work with immersive VR visualistions showing landscapes and habitats as they are now, and as we would hope them to become, 20, 50, and 100 years into the future. We also have a number of small, ongoing, Research & Development projects, including the use of 3D and parametric modeling, in conjunction with rapid prototyping, to automate the production of parts and templates for our high-end projects.
Like everyone, we are adjusting to the new reality of Covid-19, with all employees now predominantly accessing office servers and software remotely, and meeting with clients, consultants, and each other via a variety of digital communication and collaboration platforms. At the same time, we are taking steps to modify our office envrionment to ensure a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors alike.
